SHARED MUSIC SESSIONS IN A VAN

Connecting communities through culture and music

Shared Music Sessions

The Festival in a Van Shared Music Sessions visit counties and communities all over Ireland.

Connecting through culture and our shared love of music, and presented with the generous atmosphere of the traditional Irish seisiún, we are delighted to be supported by Creative Ireland, and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media's Local Live Performance Programming Scheme.

With thanks to our partners in Creative Ireland, Mother Tongues, Music Generation, and the Local Authority Network around Ireland.

About the shared music sessions

An international concert series of events with Irish musicians coming together with Ukrainian musicians, and musicians from other refugee communities via Festival in a Van.

The Shared Music Sessions kicked off in August 2022 in Co Kerry. Since then, we have visited twenty counties, working with over one hundred musicians in fifty locations.

We will be continuing the sessions throughout 2024 and beyond so check back for updates.

With thanks to our partners in Creative Ireland, Music Generation, and the Local Authority Network around Ireland.
